OFFICIAL SHOPIFY PARTNER · PLATFORM MIGRATION

Move from ikas to Shopify,
with your products and SEO value intact.

We manage your migration by planning products, customer data and SEO redirects in advance. We read your ikas data in full through the Admin API, adapt it to Shopify and link your old URLs to the new pages with 301s.

WHY SHOPIFY?

You got off to a good start with ikas.
Take the next step with Shopify.

A store that's truly yours

The theme editor is ideal for a quick start, but as your brand grows, your pages need to be your own too. On Shopify you can edit the theme code directly, add extra information to product pages with metafields and code a theme made entirely for your brand.

A wider range of tools

The Shopify App Store has a very wide choice for email marketing, loyalty, reviews, packaging and reporting. For processes with no ready-made app, we build a custom Shopify app for you.

Built for selling abroad

With Shopify Markets you sell to several countries from one store, in the local language and with market-specific prices, using a subfolder or a separate domain for each market. You don't need to change platform the day you expand abroad.

Growth and team flexibility

Agencies, developers and app providers around the world know Shopify, so you can work with whichever team you choose. As your store grows, you move up a plan without changing platform.

WHAT HAPPENS IN A MIGRATION

What moves, what doesn't,
and what gets rebuilt?

We go through every part of the migration up front, so there are no surprises.

DataStatusDetails
Products, variants and imagesMigratedRead through the ikas GraphQL Admin API; images are transferred straight to Shopify from their source URLs.
CategoriesMigratedSet up as collections on Shopify; automated collections that fill themselves by tag and product type can also be used.
Customer recordsMigratedTransferred along with marketing consent status; after launch, your customers access their accounts with the same email address.
Customer passwordsNot migratedPasswords can't be migrated from any platform, but there's no need: Shopify's new customer accounts don't use passwords, and your customers sign in with a one-time code sent to their email address.
Order historyMigratedWe decide during the analysis which period to migrate; we recommend archiving your ikas records separately for accounting and returns.
Blog posts and pagesMigratedContent is transferred along with page titles and meta descriptions.
Product reviewsMigratedMigrated using the import feature of the review app you use on Shopify.
Old URLsMapped with 301sYour ikas URLs don't match Shopify's fixed URL structure; every old URL is linked to its new equivalent with a permanent 301 redirect.
Theme and designRebuilt on ShopifyAn ikas theme can't be moved to Shopify; your store is built either by adapting a ready-made theme or with a custom theme made for you.
Payment, shipping, e-invoicing, ERP and marketplace connectionsRebuilt on ShopifyConnected to the new store through ready-made apps or custom apps we build with the Shopify Admin API and webhooks.
PROCESS

A step-by-step,
transparent migration.

At the end of each step you see what's ready, and we move on with your approval.

  1. 01Analysis and preparation

We review your ikas store, category tree, product options, connected systems and the pages that bring you traffic. After the analysis we work out the scope and a clear timeline together.

  2. 02API connection and data clean-up

We connect to the ikas Admin API through a custom app created in your store. Before the data is written to Shopify, unused products, duplicate records and incomplete information are cleaned out.

  3. 03Collection and variant set-up

We map categories to Shopify collections and product options to Shopify's variant model, and make option values consistent.

  4. 04Design and integrations

We build your store by adapting a ready-made theme or with a custom theme, and configure payment, shipping, e-invoicing, marketplace and ERP connections.

  5. 05Testing and 301 redirects

We test adding different variants to the cart, discount codes and instalment payments. We link old URLs to the new pages with 301s, using the mapping table.

  6. 06Launch and monitoring

We connect the domain, submit the sitemap to Search Console and schedule an email to your customers explaining the new sign-in method. After launch we closely monitor sales, traffic and 404 reports.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Questions
on your mind.

Will my search traffic drop when I move from ikas to Shopify?+

The aim is to avoid any lasting loss and keep any fluctuation short. Because Shopify's URL structure is fixed, your ikas URLs will change; we list every URL that brings in traffic beforehand and redirect each one to its new equivalent with a 301. Page titles and meta descriptions are carried over too, and after launch we monitor Search Console data closely.

Are there Shopify equivalents for the payment, shipping and e-invoicing connections that come built into ikas?+

Yes, although the set-up isn't as ready-made as on ikas; we take care of that part. Shopify Payments isn't available in Türkiye, so we connect local payment providers such as iyzico or PayTR, along with shipping and e-invoicing solutions, through suitable apps. For processes without a ready-made solution, we build a custom Shopify app for you.

What happens to my marketplace integrations?+

On Shopify, connections to marketplaces such as Trendyol, Hepsiburada and n11 are usually set up through third-party apps or custom integrations. We agree on the solution together before the migration; if there's no suitable app, we build a custom integration that syncs products, stock, prices and orders.

Will my customers have to sign up again?+

No. Your customer records are migrated, and Shopify's new customer accounts don't use passwords; when signing in, your customers enter their email address and access their account with the one-time code they receive. So the fact that old passwords can't be migrated isn't a problem.

How long does an ikas to Shopify migration take?+

It wouldn't be right to give an exact timeframe without reviewing your store. The timeline depends on the number of products and variants, whether order history is being migrated, the scope of the design, the number of integrations and whether a multi-market set-up is being built. We work out a clear plan together after the analysis.

Will my discount codes and promotions be migrated?+

We list your active promotions and discount codes during the analysis stage and recreate them in Shopify's discount structure. That way your customers can keep using their codes from launch day onwards.

When should I close my ikas subscription?+

We recommend not ending your ikas subscription until the new store is live and has settled in, and all your data has been archived. You may need your old records for a while longer for accounting and returns.

Is the Shopify subscription included in your fee?+

Shopify plan and app fees are paid directly to Shopify; our fee covers the services we provide. We choose the right plan and apps for your business together.
